Frequently asked questions
How long do shocks and struts last?
Typically 50,000–80,000 miles. DFW potholes can shorten that significantly.
Do I need an alignment after suspension work?
Yes — any time control arms, tie rods, or struts are replaced, alignment is required.
Why replace shocks in pairs?
An old shock on one side and new on the other causes uneven ride height, tire wear and braking imbalance.
